My father told me that a doctor had told him as an adult that he must have had walking pneumonia as a child because he could see damage to his lungs, although he hadn't known it at the time. I always thought walking pneumonia meant cases of pneumonia when you didn't realize you'd had it.

Yes, it is worrisome. The effects of bronchitis caused by mycoplasma pneumonia can apparently last for 3+ years. Thanks for reading.
