Unsuspecting young people looking for a quick buck often become both perpetrators and victims of crime. Remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
I feel terrible for the young people who are looking for an honest day's pay and get trapped in this nightmare. I'm especially sympathetic, because Japan has created a culture where many others have given up on finding gainful employment, acting like teenagers without any responsibilities.
So the young people who proactively seek employment deserve support, considering it'd be easy for them to opt out of society, given how common it is these days. (Also in Canada where 20-somethings often live wih their parents, move out for a short time to marry and divorce, before moving back with their parents. When I was a teenager, I and most of my friends were eager to move out shortly after graduating high school, whether to start working or going to university full-time.)
